The National Federation Rule Book states that unless a timing system is fully automatic, times registered in one-hundredth of a second must be rounded up to the next tenth-second.

Example: 10.42 will be recorded as 10.5 seconds unless fully automatic timing is used.

When fully automatic timing is used, time will be recorded in one-hundredths (1/100) of a second. In ranking performances, we add 0.24 to manual times to approximate the fully automatic timing equivalent.

Example: a hand-held time of 11.0 would be equivalent to a fully automatic time of 11.24 seconds.
