Community Education announces the Ann Wood Community Education Fine Arts Scholarship.

Ann Wood, a lifelong resident, nurse, and community leader in Two Harbors left a portion of her estate to be used to fund a scholarship in her name to help students in pursuit of careers in fine arts. A $2,000 scholarship will be awarded yearly. Financial need is not considered in the selection of this scholarship. It was Ann Wood’s request to give priority to students pursuing careers in string instruments or the visual arts.

All Lake Superior School District residents are eligible. You must attend an accredited educational institution in the upcoming school year. The school you are planning to attend can be a public or private college, university, community or technical college, or other accredited educational institution.

You may pick up an application form at either the Community Education Office or the Guidance Office at Silver Bay High School or Two Harbors High School, or may download the form from this Web site.
